Liquido d'Oro olive oil is produced with a lot of love, passion, pleasureç and knowledge by farmers throughout Italy. This Al Tartufo Olive Oil is produced in Southern Italy, from the Puglia region. Coratina and Ogliarola olives are used for this oil. The Coratina olive contains little moisture and has a mild olive taste, which mixes well with the truffle flavour. The truffle flavour comes from the natural gases that are released during the fermentation of the herbs, onion, mushrooms and the tree root where the truffles grow. These are converted into a liquid natural truffle aroma, which is mixed with the organic olive oil. The truffle olive oil is at its best with simple dishes, but also with cheese or over a carpaccio.
